Becoming one organisation – answering your questions

The University of Cambridge announced in October 2020 that it was bringing together its publishing and assessment operations to create a single organisation. On 1 August 2021, Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press officially join together to form Cambridge University Press & Assessment. You may have some questions about why this is happening and how it will affect you and the service you receive from us.

FAQs

The move is in response to a growing desire from learners, teachers and researchers to engage with Cambridge in a joined-up digital way, and the demand for innovative products that combine expertise in learning and assessment. The new organisation will have the capabilities to provide world leading assessment, learning and academic research offerings globally, under the Cambridge brand and backed by first class teaching and research departments.

We continue to be part of the University of Cambridge, sharing its mission to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence. As part of the University, we remain a not-for-profit venture, enabling us to reinvest in and expand on the good we do.

There is much to look forward to in the months and years ahead. Please be assured that the united team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment will continue to provide the same great service and support. You can continue to contact and work with us in the same way you would normally.
