Gulf leaders to join global fellowship for digital education transformation
HP and Cambridge Partnership for Education are inviting government officials from Gulf countries to join a fellowship to step up digital transformation of education systems.

AI is booming, sustainable development is essential, and governments across the Gulf are increasingly harnessing technology in their education systems. From virtual reality to data, leaders, teachers, students and parents are facing greater opportunities – and challenges – than ever before.
The ‘HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship’ will enable leaders to build the skills, network and experience to embrace this change to improve children’s education. Experts have designed the programme to support participants (Fellows) to turn their visions into lasting impact for teachers, students and wider communities. The Fellows will work with specialists to explore strategic approaches, latest research, and best practice in education technology solutions.

The fellowship will begin with a five-month programme. This will include an academy hosted at King's College at Cambridge University. It will also include online study and talks from leaders across a broad range of sectors.
The programme has three parts: research, policy, and leadership. It includes exploring a particular challenge in each Fellow’s education system and developing a solution with the support of expert coaches. Fellows will also discuss how to scale up solutions across whole states and countries for the best outcomes for teachers and students.

On graduation, the Fellows will become part of a global alumni network where peers foster connections, exchange insights and keep ahead of future technologies.
Mayank Dhingra, Senior Education Business Leader – HP, said: “It is vital we bring leaders together to take a long-term view towards fast-developing technologies. The fellows will join a global network, sharing knowledge and trends on technology today, tomorrow, and beyond, and embracing developments to improve education so that every learner can reach their goals.”
Government officials and organisation leaders can apply to join the fellowship until 3 November 2023. Scholarships are available to cover the full cost of tuition fees for the programme for exceptional applicants.
Once selected, the Fellows will begin their studies at the end of 2023.
Jane Mann, Managing Director of Cambridge Partnership for Education, said: “We are looking for innovative leaders ready to drive remarkable change in teaching and learning. Together, we will match the potential of technology with evidence-based, practical approaches that can transform what happens inside and outside the classroom.”
This invitation for applicants from the Gulf is part of a wider, global programme and associated alumni network established by Cambridge and HP in early 2023. The network already includes 28 fellows from Africa, who report exciting results from the initial months of the programme.
