Ready, Steady, Grow! British English

Engage learners and help children become more resilient with the wellbeing focus in each unit and dedicated wellbeing lessons. Routines, songs, activities and games all create a supportive classroom community where children learn how to collaborate and form friendships.

Ready, Steady, Grow! has 'Extra' activities for fast finishers on every Pupil’s Book page, teaching tips in the Teacher’s Book to manage children developing at different rates, and dedicated review lessons to identify gaps in learning.

All the books for pupils, the Teacher's Book, interactive activities, games, routines boards and videos are available online and offline as part of the complete and easy-to-use presentation tool, Presentation Plus. The digital home practice for pupils helps foster a strong home-school link.

Children learn everything from how to say goodbye to opening a snack on their own. There are songs to signal classroom transitions - for example, the Tidy Up Song makes cleaning up and being proud of the classroom a core part of every lesson to get children familiar with routines and interacting with others. They develop the social skills, motor skills and behaviours they need for starting school so they can continue their learning journey with confidence.

The progression of the activities and stories in the lessons reflects the way very young children change in such a short amount of time. Children will notice the characters Sofia and Daniel developing their skills and confidence and growing up with each level in an increasing variety of contexts. This ensures that children are always learning English in a context they can relate to while encouraging social learning and an understanding of the world around them.

CLIL lessons are designed to reflect the topics learners will likely be looking at in their other lessons, and include real-world videos to help engage them.
