Cambridge and HP expand EdTech fellowship to Europe and Central Asia
Cambridge University Press & Assessment and HP are expanding their education technology (EdTech) fellowship to include leaders from Europe and Central Asia.

The HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship is designed to support leaders at the forefront of digital education transformation with the skills, knowledge and network to implement change.
The programme has already welcomed more than 50 leaders from Africa, Asia, and the Gulf region. Their work has collectively impacted nearly 4 million students and teachers.
Now, Cambridge and HP are inviting leaders working across countries in Europe and Central Asia to join the fellowship.
Programme structure
Leaders joining the fellowship from Europe and Central Asia will initially embark on a five-month hybrid programme from January – June 2025. This will combine virtual collaboration with a week in residence at Cambridge. The fellows will then graduate into the alumni network of leaders around the world.
The programme includes expert talks, project work, workshops, and personalised coaching. During the Cambridge residential week, participants will work with EdTech specialists from other sectors to tackle real-world challenges and exchange ideas with peers from across the region.
“We’re having a broad and holistic view of the challenge and thinking deep about what kind of leadership, what kind of personality, what kind of skills we need to bring together to solve this problem – which is a must.” Dr Joshua Valeta, Director of Open, Distance and E-Learning, Ministry of Education, Malawi and HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellow
What the fellows will explore
The fellowship aims to support education leaders to develop solutions for challenges in education by exploring three areas: EdTech, policy and leadership. This might include exploring designing hybrid teacher training, improving access to learning resources in rural areas, and creating culturally relevant digital content. The fellowship programme also explores ethical and effective use of AI in education.
I appreciated that the focus was not only on Education Technology. The leadership component as part of the core structure of the course has been very helpful to reflect and also to rethink some of the approaches that we have done and what we can do better moving forward.” Dr Iwan Syahril, Director General, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Indonesia and HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellow
How to apply
Applications are open until 22 November 2024. Fully funded scholarships are available for selected leaders across the region. For more information, visit edtechfellowship.cambridge.org/about-europe-and-central-asia/
