It's always good to understand that what you're doing at work actually has meaning. What I'm doing is giving life opportunities to young people who either themselves, or their parents, want to have a better life. Satisfaction comes from knowing that you are changing people's lives through the products and services you're providing.
Adora Ong, Head of Security Operations, is based at our Manila office, which has recently become Great Place to Work certified in recognition of our efforts to create a people-centred culture in the Philippines. She reflected on her own journey with Cambridge University Press & Assessment.Â
Adora said:
At Cambridge there is always someone to tell you to stop, breathe and take a break. Any time you have a personal need, the organisation is very understanding and supportive. It has helped me balance how to be a parent and a career woman, and how to become a student again.
