The World Around Us

The World Around Us is a series for classes 1 to 5. The third edition aims to instil skills, values, and dispositions that support the vision of the NEP 2020. In keeping with the recommendations of NEP 2020, the series aims to lay the foundation for a holistic education, enabled by critical thinking, inquiry, discovery, innovation, discussion, and analysis-based teaching and learning methods. The revised edition focusses strongly on developing 21st century skills, life competencies and promotes cross-curricular integration through engaging tasks, activities, and projects. The series is crafted to instil in young learners, ethics, human and constitutional values like empathy, respect for others, cleanliness, equality, respect for diversity spirit of service, respect for public property, etc., and an understanding of life around them and make them curious about social phenomena, starting with family and moving on to the wider spaces.
