Written by Peter Lucantoni, an experienced ESL teacher and trainer, this series is designed to support students studying for Cambridge IGCSE® English as a Second Language (0510 / 0511 / 0991). This fully updated edition of the popular series meets the requirements of the Cambridge International English as a Second Language syllabus and includes exam-style questions. Each unit is themed and takes an integrated skills approach while emphasising a core skill. Videos have been added to every unit and there are more listening activities plus an increased focus on speaking with 4 new units, each including an additional speaking video. There is also a new digital element that encourages online practise. All of this is intended to develop students' language skills by encouraging interaction as well as preparing for examination.
The ideal companion to the coursebook, the write-in workbook corresponds clearly with the coursebook and provides students with additional opportunities to practise, helping to build students' language skills and confidence in English as the course progresses. Answers to the workbook questions are in the teacher's resource.
