Overview
This book is a collection of three folktales adapted into plays. 'The man who nearly became fishpaste' is adapted from a Chinese folktale. It is the tale of a man who, through a series of strange circumstances, turns into a fish. 'The snake with the seven heads' is adapted from a Xhosa folktale. Manjuza's husband is cursed by an old woman and turned into a snake with seven heads. 'Iron Tooth' is based on the Russian folktale, Baba Yaga. Vasilissa's stepmother plots to kill her. Vasilissa finds ways to outwit her.
