Cambridge Connection History and Civics

Cambridge Connection History and Civics is a series of textbooks for classes 6–8, conforming­ to the curriculum prescribed by the CISCE. The second edition of this series aims to instil skills, values, and dispositions that support the vision of the National Education Policy 2020. The curriculum of History and Civics has been developed with an objective to make the students understand the working of the world around them. The study of History equips the students with the knowledge and understanding of the past, necessary for coping with the present and planning for the future. The curriculum of Civics makes them aware of the socio-political life, and engages them as citizens of a vibrant and on-going democratic process. As per the recommendations proposed in the NEP 2020, the series lay foundation for a holistic education, enabled by critical thinking, inquiry, discovery, innovation, discussion and analysis-based teaching and learning methods.
